PRESS RELEASE
Harmony, New Jersey September 7, 2014 – The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale is not wasting any time making its way through the Northeastern region. Driven by a successful harvest, The Vineyard is honoring its promise to introduce its nutritious Muscadine products to more and more local communities throughout the Northeast.
This year, the Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale was given the opportunity to participate in the Warren County, NJ 4-H Renaissance Faire. This offered patrons a chance to enjoy The Vineyard’s recently harvested Muscadine grapes processed into a variety of delicious products, including; ciders, muscadine barbecue sauce, vinaigrette salad dressing and whole hull preserves. The Vineyard’s bountiful harvest offered a chance to create some new and delicious examples of just what this nutrient-rich little grape can do! So showcasing the new items at a new venue in New Jersey was just too good an idea to pass up.
The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale embraces the same values often found in the Renaissance era. The Renaissance was a time when things were attentively hand-made by real artisans, and traditions were handed down from generation to generation. The Vineyard is a family-run establishment that carefully crafts each of its Muscadine products with passion. Borgo Medioevale is an environmentally friendly venture, careful never to over work the land, create lab or hormone-laced foods, or machine harvest the grapes.
The 4-H Renaissance Faire provided local residents with the opportunity to experience food and entertainment from a time long gone by. This family-friendly event featured period-specific entertainment such as jousting, sword fights, a human chess game and belly dancing. The 4-H Renaissance Faire also offered prevailing cuisine of the era (including turkey legs!) as well as artisans selling their handcrafted clothing and goods. This Renaissance Faire presented a wonderful educational experience for the entire family.
"We were delighted to be invited to take part in this year’s 4-H Renaissance Faire; this was the perfect environment to share our products with those who have never before experienced the nutrition and flavor of this little grape. The 4-H already does so much for the community, so to be able to continue that effort with our Muscadine products motivates us even more so to reach out to other communities," said Dr. Lucinda Cassamassino DiFalco, Founder, CEO and President of LC Development, LLC., the company that manages the vineyard property.
The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale has a well-known standing throughout the industry for its environmentally-friendly practices and drive to help each individual live a healthier lifestyle through healthy eating. These efforts uphold LC Development’s mission of eco-friendly growing and community-centered practices.
