On Friday, October 22, 2010, LC Development LLC and Century 21 Bay’s Edge Realty in Sayville are sponsoring the first annual Borgo Medioevale HarvestFest 2010 from 4 to 9pm on the second floor of the Century 21 building, located at 8 South Main Street in Sayville. This event is free and open to the public.
This free festival is a celebration of the first harvest of Muscadine grapes at The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale in South Carolina. It is a fantastic opportunity to not only find out about the vineyard and its plans for the future, but also to get a jump on your holiday shopping. An amazing variety of items will be available including Muscadine cider
& preserves, Muscadine soaps, chocolates, gift baskets, authentic Italian products and much more. This one-time event is the official product launch of the Muscadine grape merchandise, and the only opportunity to purchase in the Northeast, so mark your calendar and don’t miss out!
Muscadine grapes are one of Nature’s richest sources of polyphenolic antioxidants. In vitro studies have shown positive effects of the antioxidants found in Muscadines against prostate, blood, and colon cancers.
The naturally-occurring Resveratrol found in Muscadine grapes is currently touted for its anti-aging, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and blood-sugar-lowering properties. It has also been proven to help soften wrinkles, aid in both weight loss and in the removal of toxic elements from the body, as well as increase energy. As a result of increased energy, many people are able to fall asleep faster and easier at night, without tossing and turning or waking up periodically.
Muscadine pulp and skins, traces of which can be found at the bottom of a bottle of cider before it’s shaken, have been found to be an excellent source of dietary fiber. In fact, a purée of Muscadine powder has more dietary fiber than rice or oat bran! Plus, Muscadines are a great low fat source of essential minerals and carbohydrates.
So come on down to Century 21 Bay’s Edge Realty at 8 South Main Street in Sayville on Friday, October 22, 2010, from 4pm to 9pm and enjoy the fruits of the first harvest of The Vineyard at Borgo Medioevale. Call 516-581-8620 for more information.
